I’m participating in the 2014 Sew Advent SAL (stitch-along) hosted by Dragonflylotus Designs Handspun Threads, using the band sampler from iStitch. For more information, visit Liz’s blog. See my intro post about this project here.
Well, I’m not quite caught up, but I’m pretty close.
Last week’s band included Rudolph, which is nice as I enjoy adding a bit of colour. The divider band gave me a bit of a problem because the instructions weren’t 100% on par with what the sample looked like.
I preferred the more spaced out version in the sample picture, so I sketched out the proper spacing and started the divider band again. Once I got going, the herringbone stitch turned out to be a very simple and quick stitch.
This week’s is a simple design. Leaves? Acorns? I’m not sure, but it’s nice. You can see what little I did of it in the first picture.
